American Legion Gaming has made it easier for members of its Discord community to verify their connection to the military and The American Legion Family through a new online verification portal.
The new system is available at verify.algvets.org and allows users to connect their Discord account before choosing Legion Family membership verification, military verification, or both.
The process begins with Discord sign-in, but the ALG verification site never asks users for their Discord password. Legion Family membership requests are reviewed by authorized ALG staff through MyLegion, while military verification is handled separately through GOVX.
Information submitted for Legion Family verification is encrypted and is only available to authorized ALG reviewers.
The verification portal gives ALG a secure way to confirm members of the military, Veterans, and members of The American Legion Family who participate in its growing online community.
American Legion Gaming uses Discord to bring together Veterans, Service Members, military families, Legion Family members, and supporters through gaming, conversation, community events, and online activities.
Getting verified only takes a few steps.
Visit verify.algvets.org, sign in through Discord, and select the type of verification you need.
